The Montana Medical Association serves as an advocacy organization for
physicians and is an essential voice for their patients. The organization also
provides association management services, and supports medical education and
community health programs through the MMA Foundation.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Program Manager position serves in a leadership, association services
management and event planning role in the coordination, implementation, and
operation of association programs, conferences and special projects. In a
leadership role, the position serves as an executive director position for several
specialty medical associations supporting the advancement of their missions
through informative education conferences and events, inspiring health and
clinical initiatives and implementation of innovative programs. The position is self-
directed in planning and implementing education conferences and events, annual
meetings, and initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Serve as executive to several medical associations to manage events, membership and finances
* Serve as lead on clinical initiatives aimed at educating or providing technical assistance to increase access to care or improve care
* Represent Association on statewide task forces
* Work with team and committee to plan and implement a medical education program
* Collect and examine data related to the success and direction of the program Collaborate in the construction of reports to organizational leadership and grantors
* Grow membership and communicate progress
* Seek sponsorships and grants to support events and initiatives, assist in writing grant applications
* Collect data from applicable external sources to provide guidance on initiatives and/or reinforce best practices
* Manage multiple projects concurrently
* Coordinate events and meetings
* Manage, plan and coordinate activities of association annual and interim meetings
* Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

* A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Educational or work experience that is relevant to the core functions of this position is preferred.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
* Superior oral and written communication skills
* Ability to work as a team player and build relationships
* Knowledge and experience in program planning and implementation
* Strong interest in health care and curiosity to learn more
* Knowledge of and/or experience with project management is preferred
* Ability to coordinate large projects involving multiple stakeholders
* Ability to work some weekends (annual conferences on Friday and Saturday)

SALARY

$24.00 - $30.00 per hour. Benefits: Health, vision, dental insurance; 401k plan, HSA contribution, paid vacation and sick leave
